Julian Love picked off Drake Maye again and put Seattle ahead

Seven months after intercepting Maye in the Super Bowl, Love did it again in the rematch and set up Seattle’s winning points.

Julian Love intercepted Drake Maye in Seattle’s Super Bowl win. In the season-opening rematch, the former Notre Dame defensive back did it again—and helped decide another Seahawks victory.

New England had led 10–0 before Seattle drew level in the fourth quarter. Maye then tried to throw the ball away under pressure but left it short. Love intercepted, and the Seahawks turned the takeaway into Jason Myers’ go-ahead field goal in a 13–10 win.

Love finished with six tackles, including two for loss, and a pass breakup as well as the interception. Seattle’s team recap singled out his work both against the run and in coverage. Watch the interception below: it was the turnover that gave the Seahawks the possession they needed to take the lead.
