Both Los Angeles teams won big on Wednesday. The Lakers beat Golden State 127-105 as Walker Kessler went 12 for 12 for 26 points and Luka Doncic scored 28. The Clippers beat Sacramento 121-96 behind 30 points from Darius Garland.
The Clippers list Bradley Beal, Brandon Ingram, Max Strus, Yanic Konan Niederhauser and Jordan Miller as out. The Lakers are without Jake LaRavia, Adou Thiero and Cameron Carr. The Lakers are 8.5-point favorites.
Prime's opener has the Knicks at the Celtics at 7 p.m. ET, with Jalen Brunson and the champion Knicks visiting after Tuesday's ring night.
What to watch: whether Wembanyama's shot comes back against a Houston front line that includes Sengun and Smith, how much Fox plays, and whether Kessler stays this efficient against Lopez and the Clippers. Beat Chuck will have recaps of the late games overnight.
