Global Dollar Network rewards partners for USDG they hold, mint and accept. The proposal, developed by Entropy with Offchain Labs, the Arbitrum Foundation and OpCo, would use that arrangement to give the DAO a dollar-denominated revenue source alongside its existing income from network activity.
During the initial growth phase, the plan calls for most of that revenue to be reinvested in builders, integrations and partnerships. Net proceeds would go to Arbitrum's treasury management portfolio. Each reinvestment deal would require two-thirds approval from DRIP's season selection committee.
CoinDesk's October 6 report describes the reserve-revenue model as the central reason for joining the consortium. It also reports integrations across lending, trading and payments, including Fluid, Morpho, GMX and Maple. Cointelegraph reports that USDG is issued natively on Arbitrum One and that Kraken will support deposits and withdrawals.
The operational launch is narrower than the proposed program expansion. Entropy's Season 2 notice lists live incentives for GMX's USDG Dollar Vault and a Gauntlet-curated Morpho vault. A Steakhouse-curated vault is expected to join once available.
Until the proposal passes, Season 2 uses the roughly 65 million ARB remaining in DRIP's current budget and retains the existing mandate through July 1, 2027. It would continue under those terms if delegates reject the proposal.
The requested changes extend beyond grants. The proposal seeks to deploy treasury assets for USDG liquidity and integrations, and convert expansion-program fee revenue into USDG after the developer guild's allocation. Delegates would retain their existing rights to amend or end the programs.
Forum discussion is scheduled through October 15, followed by offchain and onchain votes. The stablecoin is live; the DAO's larger commitment remains open for debate.
