UAB was still looking for its first touchdown with less than two minutes remaining Thursday. By the time Delvon Gulley finished an 80-yard interception return in overtime, the Blazers had scored three and beaten East Carolina 30-17.
That reversal supplied the longest suspense of a three-game college football night. Georgia Southern also needed a late defensive play to finish off Old Dominion, while Texas State spent most of its game running through Colorado State. All three games are final, with full individual recaps linked below.

Ryder Burton took over at his own 7-yard line with 1:37 left and the Blazers trailing 17-9. His 17-yard touchdown pass to Bam McReynolds with 35 seconds remaining kept the game alive. Burton then ran in the two-point conversion to force overtime.
A six-yard Burton touchdown pass to Rod Robinson II put UAB ahead on the first overtime possession. Gulley intercepted Emory Williams on East Carolina's third play and returned it for the final touchdown. Burton finished with 262 passing yards, and CJ Smith caught eight passes for 119 yards. UAB improved to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the American Conference. East Carolina fell to 3-3 and 1-1.
