The United States came to Sunday singles at Medinah three points behind. It left with the Presidents Cup. The Americans won 9½ of the day’s 12 points to beat the International Team 17–13, according to the official final scoreboard. All 12 singles matches are complete, and the U.S. has won the event for the 11th consecutive time.
Jacob Bridgeman delivered the point that settled it. He reached the 18th tied with Min Woo Lee, made par and won their match 1 up. That moved the U.S. to 15½ points, the threshold for an outright victory. The Golf Channel report from Medinah identifies Bridgeman as the clincher. Xander Schauffele’s later 2-and-1 win over Ryan Fox and a half point from Russell Henley against Nick Taylor took the final total to 17.
