Tony Stewart’s Indiana retreat brings a little of the outdoors inside

The racer’s archived tour introduces a lodge-style house with an aquarium, indoor stream and spaces to play. Cover illustration; the credited tour shows the actual property.

Tony Stewart’s Hidden Hollow Ranch brings the language of the outdoors into the house. Lodgepole pine, stone fireplaces, a large aquarium and an indoor stream make the central spaces feel connected to the surrounding Indiana landscape. The racer’s own archived tour is a useful introduction to a home whose personality is much more specific than its room count.

Homes of Celebs reported August 10, 2026, that Stewart had listed the roughly 415-acre ranch for $18.9 million. That is a dated asking price, not a completed sale. The original property website identifies the NASCAR champion’s home and describes a 19,713-square-foot residence with a nine-acre lake on the grounds.

Stewart published the owner-led tour on his own YouTube channel. A March 2021 report from iHeart’s Casey Carter links the exact video and identifies the uploader as Tony Stewart. It predates the current sale reporting, so it records an earlier look at the property rather than a promise about its present furnishings or condition.

The water features are the architectural surprise. The official property site describes a two-story waterfall, an 8,700-gallon aquarium and a 1,500-gallon stream stocked with koi. Together, they turn water into something encountered inside the home, while the lake outside provides a much larger counterpart.

Materials give that dramatic centerpiece a coherent setting. The site says the lodgepole pine came from the Northern Rockies, with white oak, red hardwood and Texas stone used for floors. Indiana bedrock appears in fireplaces and on parts of the exterior. The effect is a house whose structure and surfaces reinforce the wooded setting instead of ignoring it.

The recreational spaces have their own appeal. The property site lists a gym, bowling alley and golf simulator; Carter’s account of the owner tour also notes arcade games and a bar. Those activities give rainy-day gatherings somewhere to go without relying entirely on the grounds.

Our favorite idea is the repeated connection between setting and interior. An enormous aquarium is a specialist installation, but the broader principle travels well: use materials and a few deliberate features to give a home a sense of place. Stewart’s tour shows the larger, unmistakably personal version.
