The Brewers beat the Cubs 4-3 on Jackson Chourio's go-ahead single

Chourio's two-run single in the eighth put Milwaukee ahead for good at American Family Field. Pete Crow-Armstrong homered in the ninth, but Trevor Megill closed it.

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs 4-3 on Monday afternoon, September 7, 2026, at American Family Field.

Pedro Ramírez homered in the fifth for Chicago. Garrett Mitchell singled home Luis Lara in the bottom half to tie it 1-1. Alex Bregman's seventh-inning single scored Pete Crow-Armstrong and put the Cubs up 2-1.

Milwaukee took the lead in the eighth. Jackson Chourio singled to right, scoring Garrett Mitchell and Joey Ortiz, then Christian Yelich's sacrifice fly scored Chourio for a 4-2 Brewers lead. Crow-Armstrong homered in the ninth (his 41st) to make it 4-3.

Abner Uribe got the win. Matthew Boyd took the loss. Trevor Megill recorded the save. Attendance was 42,368.
