Before evaluating Neemias Queta's next Celtics season, it is worth revisiting an earlier step. Boston announced his standard contract on April 9, 2024, after he had appeared in 26 games for the team on a two-way deal.
At that point, Queta was averaging 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 11.4 NBA minutes. His work with Maine was more extensive: eight appearances with averages of 14.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
He had also helped the affiliate reach its first G League Finals, contributing 16 points and 19 rebounds in the Eastern Conference championship win over Long Island.
This is a 2024 snapshot, not a current statistical summary. It shows the two levels of Queta's early Boston experience: limited NBA minutes alongside games where he carried a larger assignment. The official announcement documents that progression without needing to turn it into an overnight success story.

The same summer, another Boston assignment
By July, Queta was starting at center for Boston's Summer League team. A July 15 report from Maine placed him alongside other players with affiliate experience, including Jordan Walsh, JD Davison and Drew Peterson.
That is a useful second checkpoint after the April contract. A change in contract status did not end the work of finding opportunities to play. The summer roster gave the organization another setting to evaluate players who had moved through its development system.
The embedded Celtics post is the original April 9 signing announcement. It provides the public timestamp for the transaction discussed here. Read the numbers above as evidence from that period, rather than as a description of today's depth chart.
A later NBA checkpoint
The team's February 25, 2026 report supplies a later example of that progression. In Boston's 97-81 win at Phoenix the previous night, Queta produced 14 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 27 minutes. Six rebounds came on offense.
That assignment was quite different from the brief NBA appearances recorded in April 2024. The two snapshots are not a complete development history, but together they show why contract milestones and individual games belong in the same account. One records an opportunity; the other records what Queta did with a larger one.
