Notre Dame has shared two archival videos from the teams’ September 22, 2001 meeting, including their joint performance of Amazing Grace.

Before Notre Dame and Michigan State meet again, the Irish have shared a moment from the rivalry that carries meaning well beyond the score. Two archival videos revisit the pregame ceremony on September 22, 2001, eleven days after the September 11 attacks.
