The Philadelphia 76ers converted Tacko Fall's training camp contract to a two-way deal Saturday, keeping the 7-foot-6 center in an organization already short of healthy options behind Joel Embiid.
The team announced the move, ESPN reported. Fall had joined Philadelphia on an Exhibit 10 contract last month and now fills its final two-way opening alongside guard Caleb Love and wing Rayan Rupert.
His opportunity comes after a series of frontcourt injuries. Projected backup center Ariel Hukporti tore his right Achilles during the preseason and will miss the season. Adem Bona has been dealing with a foot injury, and back soreness kept Dominick Barlow out of preseason games.
Fall also missed the preseason with a hip strain. The Athletic's Tony Jones reported the contract Saturday and said Fall had impressed the team before the injury and made a strong impression in the locker room.
