Lamar Jackson has made progress with his ankle injury, but the Ravens have not settled whether he will practice Wednesday or play Sunday against Cincinnati. Coach Jesse Minter kept Jackson's status day to day during his Monday news conference, according to the Ravens' October 19 report.
Minter said Baltimore should know more Wednesday. Asked whether Jackson could practice that day, the coach left it open. The team's Monday update from Minter concerns Jackson's recovery; it does not announce his return.
Jackson has missed two games since hurting his ankle in Week 4. Tyler Huntley started the overtime win at Atlanta and Sunday's 13-10 loss at Cleveland. Baltimore is 4-2 heading into the home game against the Bengals, who are 3-2.
Center Cam Jurgens also made progress over the weekend as he works through concussion protocol. Minter said there was an opportunity for Jurgens to make his Ravens debut this week, while acknowledging the final clearance remained ahead. His return would allow rookie Vega Ioane to move from center back to right guard.
Trey Hendrickson returned from his finger injury against Cleveland, recording eight pressures and a sack. Minter said he felt good about how Hendrickson came through the game. The coach was also optimistic about Rashod Bateman, who left in the second quarter with a shoulder problem, without announcing a game designation for him.
WLWT's Monday report also covered the uncertainty over Jackson's availability against Cincinnati.
