Planning an accessible Celtics visit at TD Garden

Arrange an escort ahead of time and confirm seating needs when buying tickets.

Fans planning an accessible Celtics visit can start with TD Garden's main entrance at the Hub on Causeway. The arena identifies elevators beside the escalators there, plus Elevator 1 at ground level inside North Station.

For a prearranged wheelchair or walking escort, the venue asks guests to submit its request form at least 72 hours before the event. Customer service then confirms the request. Guests who miss that window may request a wheelchair upon arrival at Elevator 1.

The arena says wheelchair escorts meet at Elevator 1 unless staff approve another location. Accessible seating is available on multiple levels, with locations dependent on the event; indicate the requirement when purchasing tickets.

Check the venue's accessibility page before the visit and use its request process for individual arrangements. A ticket purchase alone should not be treated as confirmation that an escort has been scheduled.

Sensory support is part of the plan

TD Garden's October 2023 announcement explains another part of its accessibility work. The arena partnered with KultureCity, trained staff to recognize sensory needs and opened four sensory rooms. The original announcement describes the program's launch; the attached WCVB report shows that opening period.

For a present-day Celtics visit, contact the venue about the services your party needs rather than relying on the age of a video. An escort request, an accessible seat and access to a quieter space address different needs. Discuss the expected route through the building and any plans to take a break from the arena bowl before arriving.

The useful preparation is specific: identify the person making arrangements, retain any confirmation from guest services and agree on how the group will reconnect if someone needs assistance. That leaves fewer decisions to make amid the noise and movement of a game.

Keep a direct contact handy

The venue's contact page provides a form and customerservice@tdgarden.com for additional questions. Put the event date and the arrangement you need in the message, and keep the reply available on the day. That is particularly useful when several people are organizing the trip: one shared confirmation can prevent different members of the party from arriving with different expectations.
