Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez agrees to a 4-year, $135M extension

New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez agreed to terms on a record four-year, $135 million extension, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler late Monday night.

The deal includes $102 million guaranteed, sources said. That makes Gonzalez the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history, ahead of Devon Witherspoon's four-year, $132 million extension with Seattle last month. Both players share agent Reggie Johnson.
