Ole Miss beats Louisville 41-38 on a walk-off field goal

Lucas Carneiro’s 48-yard kick with three seconds left ends Pete Golding’s debut in the Music City Kickoff.

Ole Miss beat Louisville 41-38 in the Music City Kickoff when Lucas Carneiro hit a 48-yard field goal with three seconds left.

Louisville had tied the game 38-38 on Lincoln Kienholz’s 7-yard run at the 1:28 mark. Pete Golding’s first game as Ole Miss head coach turned into a Nissan Stadium shootout on ABC: Trinidad Chambliss threw for 336 yards and three touchdowns, Deuce Alexander had two 62-yard scores, and Louisville answered with big plays of its own.

It was the only ranked-versus-ranked game in Week 1. The walk-off kick is the clip that will replay all week.

Final: Ole Miss 41, Louisville 38.
