Kamari Moulton ran for a career-high 208 yards and two touchdowns as No. 20 Iowa beat Washington 41-24 on Friday night in Seattle. Jeremy Hecklinski threw three touchdown passes, giving the Hawkeyes enough offense to build a 27-point lead and answer the Huskies' second-half push.
Iowa finished with 465 total yards, including 263 on the ground, and committed no turnovers. Moulton needed 26 carries for his 208 yards. Hecklinski completed 14 of 19 passes for 202 yards without an interception in his start for the injured Hank Brown.
The Hawkeyes established control before halftime. Caden Buhr made field goals from 51 and 27 yards, then Moulton broke loose for a 56-yard touchdown with 10 seconds left in the first quarter. That gave Iowa a 13-0 lead and set up a productive second quarter for Hecklinski.
He found DJ Vonnahme for touchdowns of 20 and 24 yards, extending the advantage to 27-0. Vonnahme finished with two catches for 44 yards, with both receptions reaching the end zone. Washington's 30-yard field goal late in the half left the score 27-3 at the break.
