Projection and tracking have separate jobs
PuttView describes its Indoor system as a combination of projection, ball tracking and tablet control. The projector puts information directly onto a putting green; the camera tracks what the ball actually does. Users can change the displayed visuals from the tablet.
The company's feature descriptions distinguish the suggested path from the recorded result. Its Ideal Line can be adjusted for the golfer's preferred speed, while Ball Tracking draws the played path and stores putting data. Contour lines illustrate the surface's topography, and a movable starting point allows different putts on the same green.
That is a different product setup from PuttView's phone app, which uses an iOS device to scan a green and overlay putting information. Martin's video concerns the installed indoor projection system.
A demonstration, with room for practice
Martin and Smith discuss using the slope display alongside AimPoint practice, comparing a feel-based read with the percentage shown on the green. The adjustable visuals let them check that read without moving to a different practice surface.
Smith says the facility remains under development, with opening plans still to follow.
Martin's description includes affiliate links. The session uses PuttView independently from the venue's Foresight simulator, leaving the physical green available for practice without running a simulated round.
