Florida State stadium power outage delayed SMU, then the game finished under limited power

Doak Campbell went dark for nearly two hours on Labor Day night. Miami trolled the outage. No. 19 SMU still left Tallahassee with a 27-24 win on a late field goal.

Florida State's Labor Day home game against No. 19 SMU turned into appointment TV for the wrong reason.

A lengthy power outage at Doak Campbell Stadium delayed kickoff by nearly two hours. The sides then finished with limited power still in the building, ESPN reported.

Miami piled on with a troll post roasting the outage while the Seminoles waited on the lights.

On the field, Nick Reed's 20-yard field goal with 21 seconds left closed a 27-24 SMU win. Kevin Jennings threw for a career-best 430 yards and three touchdowns after a pair of interceptions. SMU survived four turnovers.
