Foster Moreau caught both of Houston's first-half touchdown passes, including a 1-yard score with eight seconds left that sent the Texans into halftime ahead 17-14. Stroud then connected with Jaylin Noel for a 13-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Noel finished with four catches for 107 yards. Jacksonville extended that Houston possession with a too-many-men penalty on a punt, according to the AP game report carried by ESPN.
Lawrence's 1-yard touchdown pass to Nate Boerkircher cut the deficit to 24-21. Jawhar Jordan immediately restored Houston's cushion with a 25-yard touchdown run, giving the Texans a 10-point lead entering the fourth quarter.
