What is confirmed
Moore did not practice Wednesday or Thursday this week. He was also inactive for Monday night's game at the Rams. That makes one missed game and two more missed practices since the shoulder flared up again in the Week 4 game against New England, when he left in the second quarter.
Local reporters at Thursday's session at UC Irvine, where Buffalo is staying between its two West Coast games, said Moore was on hand watching rather than working. Receiver Joshua Palmer, who is also dealing with a shoulder issue, practiced in a red non-contact jersey and was limited.
Buffalo plays at Las Vegas on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET, then has its Week 7 bye.
What is still open
The Bills have not given Moore a game status. Friday's report will carry the designation that matters. Two missed practices to open the week, after sitting out Monday, point toward Buffalo resting him for Sunday and using the bye to give the shoulder roughly two more weeks.
What RSO owners should do now
If you roster Moore, plan your Week 6 lineup as though he is out and treat any upgrade Friday as a bonus. Do not cut or sell low. A bye-week rest is a short-term problem, and his contract value in RSO leagues rests on the rest of the season, not one game.
If you are in the market for a receiver, check whether a Moore owner is thin enough at the position to deal at a discount. That window may close once he is back after the bye.
Palmer is the Buffalo receiver to watch. He is practicing through his own shoulder issue in a limited role, so his Friday status matters more if Moore sits.
What to watch next
Friday's injury report will show whether Moore gets an out or questionable tag. If he does practice in any form, Buffalo may leave the call until Sunday's inactives about 90 minutes before kickoff.
