Cooper Flagg scored 51 then 45 in back-to-back April games

The 51-point night against Orlando made him the youngest 50-point scorer in NBA history, and the 45 against the Lakers completed consecutive 40-point games.

On April 3, 2026, Cooper Flagg scored 51 points against Orlando in a 138-127 home loss and became the youngest player in NBA history to score 50. Two nights later he had 45 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds in a 134-128 win over the Lakers.

That put him with Allen Iverson as the only rookies since the 1976-77 merger with consecutive 40-point games. Flagg finished with four 40-point games, the first rookie to do that since Iverson in 1996-97.
