James Cook III scored from three yards out with 4:43 remaining, and the Buffalo Bills held on for a 33-30 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The win moved Buffalo to 5-1 heading into its bye week.
Josh Allen passed for 255 yards and two touchdowns. Cook ran for 95 yards and added 58 receiving yards on three catches, giving the Bills enough offense to answer after Las Vegas erased a 10-point second-half deficit.
Buffalo played without a turnover after committing nine over its previous three games. The Raiders fell to 3-3 with their third consecutive defeat despite Kirk Cousins' 313 passing yards and two touchdown throws.
Allen creates a scoring play
The teams were tied 13-13 at halftime. Tyler Bass put Buffalo in front with a 47-yard field goal early in the third quarter, and Dorian Williams intercepted Cousins to give the Bills another possession.
Allen turned that takeaway into a 12-yard touchdown pass to Keon Coleman. Under pressure, he improvised a short delivery to Coleman for a 23-13 lead.
