That's the new data point. Our earlier look at the Pure Flight came from Unreal Golf, who had used it for about a month and hadn't seen wear yet.
What three months looks like
On camera, BandSagger says the fibers are "ever so slightly" starting to lay forward but the strip is still flat. The only sign of use is a spot where the light hits the grain differently, and he says it doesn't change how a ball sits or how a 3- or 4-iron comes off it. He calls it heavier and thicker than the other strips he has owned.
He says he has tried nearly every premium strip, including Bullseye, GungHo, SIGPRO Softy, Carl's, Beaver Tail and FiberBuilt, and found flaws with each. Bullseye was his previous favorite, which he calls durable and very good to putt on.
How it plays
His description matches Unreal Golf's on the main point. With no ball, the club glides through. A chunked shot still slows the club and costs distance, and you can't bounce into the ball from behind it and get away with it. Clean, shallow strikes come off well, and he says it feels like hitting off a zoysia fairway.
Putting is a smaller problem for him
The two reviewers split here. Unreal Golf called putting the big downside and doesn't putt on the strip during tour rounds. BandSagger says the longer pile makes it roll a little slower than some strips, but it's "good enough." He says he was putting off it when he was ranked No. 1 on SGT, the online simulator golf tour, and that it won't throw off launch readings. He'd still pick real putting turf if your setup allows it.
Making it last longer
He bought the long strip so he can cut it in half once the hitting spot wears out and swap the two pieces, which gets twice the life. Big Moss suggests the same trick on its product page.
Price
Big Moss lists the 1.5-inch Pure Flight at $119 for 12 by 30 inches and up to $199 for 12 by 60 inches. BandSagger also mentions a "Pure Flight Plus" for $10 to $20 more. We didn't find it on Big Moss's site. He tells viewers to buy from the retailer Elite Sim Golf, and the video doesn't say whether he has a deal with that store or with Big Moss.
What to do
If you're replacing a hitting strip every few months, this review is the best evidence so far that the Pure Flight lasts longer. That's still one creator's results after three months. Buy the 60-inch length if you want to cut and swap it later, and plan to putt on real putting turf if your room has space for it.
