Barkley and DeVonta Smith miss practice again as Eagles head to London

Philadelphia's two hamstring cases sat out Thursday, and the Bucs won their first game behind Bucky Irving. Green Bay, Washington and Dallas also made backfield moves.

The Philadelphia Eagles listed Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith as non-participants again on Thursday's official injury report, both with hamstring injuries, ahead of Sunday's game against Jacksonville in London. That was the biggest open question from a busy Thursday around the league.

Philadelphia's receiver room got thinner later in the day. Dontayvion Wicks was limited with a new hamstring issue, and Dallas Goedert stayed limited. Friday's report will tell owners a lot about who is actually available.

Thursday night

Tampa Bay beat Dallas 24-16 for its first win of the season. Bucky Irving had 175 total yards and two touchdowns, the most rushing yards of his career, and Jalon Daniels picked up his first career win. George Pickens caught a touchdown for Dallas, and CeeDee Lamb left with a quad injury before returning.

Roster moves

Green Bay signed Pierre Strong Jr. to the 53-man roster while Chris Brooks missed practice with an ankle injury. Washington waived sixth-round back Kaytron Allen, and Dallas waived Emari Demercado to bring guard Tyler Smith back from injured reserve.

In Denver, Sean Payton took offensive play-calling back from coordinator Davis Webb before Sunday's trip to the Chargers.

Injury watch

Buffalo's DJ Moore sat out Thursday with his shoulder, the same shoulder that bothered him earlier this season. Ladd McConkey missed a second straight Chargers practice with a foot injury.

Earlier in the week, Malik Nabers missed practice with soreness in his surgically repaired knee, Lamar Jackson sat with an ankle injury, and D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai both missed Bears practice.

Justin Jefferson, Ashton Jeanty and Jeremiyah Love were all limited again Thursday. Jordan Addison and Jaxon Smith-Njigba returned to practice.

In Arizona, Marvin Harrison Jr. said he pays trade rumors no mind. ESPN reported the Cardinals are not shopping him, though other teams, including the Colts, are doing their homework.

What RSO owners should do

Wait for Friday's injury reports before locking in Barkley, Smith, Moore or McConkey. If you roster Eagles depth, check Friday's practice notes closely, since London kicks off early on Sunday. Green Bay owners should treat Strong as a short-term handcuff while Brooks is out.
