OpenAI will stop supplying Cursor with GPT models on November 12. CEO Michael Truell said those models are about 5 percent of traffic and the companies are still talking. Anthropic co-founder Tom Brown said Cursor has been a partner since Sonnet 3.5 and Anthropic will keep adding Claude compute. Bundled GPT ends. A bring-your-own API key and the Codex IDE extension still work for local Chat and Agent. They do not cover Tab, Auto, Cloud Agents, Automations, the CLI, or Cursor's API and SDK.
