Arch Manning found Ryan Wingo for a three-yard touchdown early in the final period. Hollywood Smothers added two one-yard touchdown runs, the last with 25 seconds remaining. Gianni Spetic’s extra point supplied the winning margin. The defense held the Buckeyes scoreless throughout the quarter.

The official recap recorded 105,044 fans at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium, the venue’s third-largest crowd. Justin Cryer led Texas with nine tackles, while Graceson Littleton intercepted a pass.
