Texas’ first road game of 2026 will also be its first visit to Neyland Stadium. The Longhorns are scheduled to play Tennessee in Knoxville on September 26. The current Texas schedule lists an 11 a.m. Central kickoff, and the football calendar identifies ABC as the broadcast outlet.
The schools have met only three times previously, according to Texas’ schedule announcement. All three games were at the Cotton Bowl, with the most recent in 1969. Texas holds a 2–1 advantage in those meetings. The trip therefore brings a different setting to a series with a long gap between games.
Tennessee begins Texas’ SEC schedule after three nonconference games at home. An open date follows on October 3 before the Oklahoma game in Dallas. The Knoxville trip starts a stretch that takes the Longhorns away from Austin for their next two games.
