Bulls name 21-player camp roster with Boston, Robinson, Sutton and Peterson

The Bulls have named 21 players to their 2026-27 training camp roster, putting a firm list around the competition that begins Tuesday at the Advocate Center. The team's September 25 release says camp runs through October 4 and the preseason opens October 7 against Phoenix at the United Center. Those are camp dates, not a final regular-season roster decision.

The official roster graphic lists Orlando Robinson, Marquel Sutton, BJ Boston and Drew Peterson among the 21. It also includes Peter Suder, whose move to Chicago was reported earlier in the week. Houston Mallette does not appear on this particular graphic, despite earlier reporting that he had agreed to a camp deal and an NBA.com roster entry that had listed him. The Bulls' published camp list should be the reference for who is shown entering this camp; it does not explain Mallette's status or any change to his reported agreement.

Robinson brings the most NBA center experience among those four names. Local reporting says he has appeared in 115 NBA games across Miami, Sacramento, Toronto and Orlando. Boston, listed by the Bulls as BJ Boston, played for the Clippers and Pelicans before a season in Turkey. Sutton is an undrafted forward who played at LSU after a standout year at Omaha. Peterson has NBA appearances with Boston and Charlotte and a longer G League record. Their backgrounds explain why the additions are worth watching, but none has been promised a regular-season role by the camp announcement.

Chicago's core group on the same graphic includes Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis, Nicolas Claxton, Norman Powell and rookies Caleb Wilson and Dailyn Swain. The team has already listed Jaylin Sellers and Tobe Awaka as two-way players. The camp roster is the first official full group under coach Tiago Splitter heading into preseason; minutes, contract conversions and the final roster will have to be established through later team decisions. For now, the news is the roster itself, including four names not covered by the earlier Suder and Mallette camp report.
