Bears list Williams and Bagent as nonparticipants in first Eagles injury report
Thursday’s report was an estimate. Case Keenum is the only healthy quarterback on Chicago’s active roster as the Monday game approaches.

The Bears’ quarterback question acquired a firmer status line Thursday, though it is still not a game-day decision. On Chicago’s first injury report for Monday’s game against Philadelphia, Caleb Williams (hamstring) and Tyson Bagent (concussion) were both listed as did not participate. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that the Bears did not actually hold a Thursday practice, so these were estimated participation levels. Neither quarterback has been ruled out for Monday.
Williams hurt his right hamstring in Sunday’s 9-3 loss to Minnesota. Coach Ben Johnson called him week-to-week and said earlier in the week that he did not expect Williams to practice, while leaving the door open for the Eagles game. Bagent replaced him against the Vikings but then entered concussion protocol. The Bears said Wednesday that Bagent was unable to practice. Thursday’s estimated report records both issues together for the first time this week.
That leaves Case Keenum as the only healthy quarterback on the active 53-man roster for now, according to the Sun-Times. The team’s depth chart lists Williams, Bagent and Keenum in that order. Miller Moss is on the practice squad, but a possible elevation is still a roster decision rather than a completed transaction. Johnson said Wednesday he was comfortable with his quarterback room. Chicago’s next actual practice and later injury reports will matter more for Monday availability than this first estimate.
There are other offensive and special-teams questions. Running back Kyle Monangai (knee) and kicker Cairo Santos (right hip) also received estimated nonparticipant listings, while cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (hamstring) and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (rest) were among the other DNPs. The Bears have not assigned an out or questionable designation on this first report. Chicago hosts the Eagles on Monday, September 28, at 8:15 p.m. Eastern, and any prediction about who starts would be premature until the club reports actual participation and game status.
